• Jesus' point in the parable was that he who believed in him and the Father IS his family & that blood relation meant no more than faith in the Father.
• In death, blood relation has NO RELATION. We are children of God, or we profane God.

Jesus was ministering in a town where his mother & brother came to & sought preference among the listeners. Jesus - being progenitor of the human family - was father to all who sought him ( as well as those who rebelled & frustrated his ministry ) & so He pointed this out clearly by revealing to all present that his TRUE family 'brother, sister, mother' are those who seek out the Father just as He does. What is the title of 'mother' to she who born her own creator in human flesh?
